Okay so my best friend has a son which is my god son, an I have a daughter which is her god daughter,

An hears the thing we just found out they are dating each other

Can we do anything?
If so what?

Well I'm happy for you guys because other ppl have been giving us backlash. saying it's weird.. so thanks it made us feel a lot better

My godson is 14
My daughter is 16

Yes they grown up together an we are happy
We talk to them an just don't want them to move to fast

Is god sister and god brother even a thing? It seems very odd that you know people who have made out that this is a big deal.

There must be plenty of teenagers who are going out with each other whose parents are friends. That's all that this is.

The godbrother/sister thing means nothing. They are just two youngsters who are dating. I see no issue with this.

This is perhaps a cultural thing--some people take the ties of god-parentage far more seriously and restrictively than others.

That said, OP, to my eyes this isn't something odd in the least. Two teenagers who know each other well have a crush on each other and are dating. This is entirely to be expected and not at all peculiar or deviant.

If people give you guff, I'd just say 'It's really nice that my daughter is dating someone who knows and respects her," and leave it at that.
