DIY TATTOOS!!!

Hi everyone, I am really hoping someone can talk me down from the roof tonight- my 12yr old daughter has tattoed her hands with a pin and sharpie and I am so very angry and upset, I am almost in tears here. The 'art' is tiny, there are several in black on her palm and fingers. We have scrubbed but they are still there- you can see that she's cut into her skin. I am really upset because we'd been laughing at crap tatts yesterday and I'd explained how stupid it is to try them yourself, and how bad they look as well as being dangerous to do. Has anyone any (ideally calming) thoughts? She is a good girl generally apart from being a stroppy stubborn pre-teen...

Gosh I’d be worried that sound like a form of self harm to be honest. Sounds painful

I was a teenager in the late 70s and early 80s. A few of my classmates did this stoopid thing. I'm not convinced it is an example of self harm per se. However, you know her best. I'm inclined to think stoopid first.

@bellinisurge 70s/80s for me too, and I'd told her how some daft idiots at school did that (and also why it is such a stupid thing to do- and possibly permanent) but she still went ahead and did it!! I have no idea what she was thinking- I very much doubt it's self harm, it's about being 'cool' I think......
