Why are you asking about vaping THC? THC is illegal. Do you mean CBD?

There have been instances of death in the US caused by people vaping THC oil. It’s a stupid idea. If you want to vape weed use a dry vape. Be careful though, it only takes about half what you’d normally put in a spliff to get you absolutely wasted.

I’d stay the fuck away from THC full stop though if I were you. It’ll mess up your head.

Thank you. I'm asking because I haven discovered my son is vaping THC. I am
Really worried and have told him to stop but he is 15 and 15yo boys can be a nightmare!!

I think it’s the new thing. My DS has told me about it. Maybe worth speaking to FRANk, they can advise you? 15 year old boys are a nightmare I agree. My DS smokes weed and nothing I can say seems to make any difference. I have got youth support involved. But they don’t seem to think it’s a big deal as it is so common.

Are you in the UK?

As Whatisthisfuckery says, there have been a number of deaths and a much higher number of hospitalisations in the US from people vaping black market THC liquid. If he's 15 he is unlikely to have bought these from somewhere licenced, even if you live somewhere it is legal.

There have been no cases in the UK but there is also no legitimate THC market here so again, this is likely to be a black market product if he has obtained it here.

I'm not generally one for going OTT when it comes to teens and experimentation but if this was my child I'd be insisting on immediate cessation and handing over all his kit or I would report him to the police.

Keep a close eye on him for symptoms and get medical help straight away if you spot anything:

Patients in this investigation have reported symptoms such as:

- cough, shortness of breath, or chest pain
- nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or diarrhea
- fever, chills, or weight loss

Some patients have reported that their symptoms developed over a few days, while others have reported that their symptoms developed over several weeks.
