Hi

Can anyone suggest a good start up kit for a teenage girl who wants to get into make up ?

She'd also like a book if anyone can recommend one

Thank you !

you can get these kits here in different shades, however they are expensive so it depends on your budget. if you are looking for a cheaper option, you could always go to boots and pick out a foundation, concealer, eye shadow pallet and blusher + brushes rather than a set kit x

Benefit cosmetics have ready built kits and build your own kits available, I love their products, especially the Porefessional and the Roller Lash Mascara Smile

When I first got into makeup, my mum bought me the Bare Minerals starter kit. The powder foundation didn't seem as daunting so I really liked it - www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/face/foundation-kits/original-foundation-get-started-kit/UKmasterGSK18.html
I haven't used Bare Minerals since so I don't know if it's still just as good!

You can always add blush/eyeshadow kit etc on top. Superdrug's have a brand called Revolution which actually has some great things and at really, really reasonable prices. I recommend their makeup if you want something cheap but decent quality - www.superdrug.com/brandshop/makeup-revolution

Mac and Benefit seem to be the popular brands.

Do you know if she's into watching make up artists on YouTube? A few of them have eyeshadow pallets with different brands she might like.
You could maybe get her a set of Real Techniques brushes and a few eyeshadows/liners or a mascara.
