Where does your yr 9 DS get his school shoes? Simple question I know but now he's size 8 I'm sure sure if we stick to Clark's or go elsewhere

schuh have a good range so we are going to look round there, but if we can't find anything then will be going back to clarks. (ds is the same year and size)

klh99 · 08/08/2019 20:18

We just went to Clarks as usual, as we have an outlet near us. My DS is same size and year too!

Lindormilk · 09/08/2019 15:03

Great thanks! I take it Velcro fastening is a no go In year 9? So laces ok?

we have gone for laces, yes :)

WaxOnFeckOff · 10/08/2019 12:11

I think Next do theirs up to an 8.i usually hunt amazon for kickers or timberland bargains.

MozzchopsThirty · 10/08/2019 12:16

We got ours from doc martins as nothing else lasts
Not allowed trainers of any kind

Username19 · 10/08/2019 12:21

I take my 2 teenage DS to Next for theirs. They last really well and aren't bad price wise

geogteach · 10/08/2019 12:36

My Ds is going into year 10 and size 9. He is very slow tying laces so we stick with Velcro from Clarks and he is fine ( obviously wears 'cool' trainers with laces out of school!)

GiggleMcDimples · 10/08/2019 23:24

Mine is going into yr10 we get his from M&S.

gegs73 · 11/08/2019 08:54

We always get them from Clarkes. There is lots of choice if you go to one of the big stores, they will fit and I’m not going to get a call from school saying he’s got the wrong shoes. Both wear mostly very nice trainers out of school Grin

Lara53 · 12/08/2019 17:46

Clark’s go up to adult size 10 with width fitting. My DS was wearing DM parade shoes from size 8 as any other shoes got trashed in a term. They lasted all year

DioneTheDiabolist · 12/08/2019 21:16

I got DS's here: www.treads-shoes.com/boys/school-shoes

He got the slip-ons they were the first shoes that actually lasted the school year.

JustLooking2019 · 13/08/2019 00:47

My kids have stupidly narrow feet so I go to Clark’s, the outlet store if I can. I haven’t found anywhere else that does the different widths at those kind of prices
