I've just realised that teens are supposed to have the triple boost and meningitis Vax between 14-16.
Is this an automatic thing or do I need to go to the GP?

DS(14) has just had his. We got a letter from school which had a link on it where we had to give our consent.

DRs in year 11 and not a peep here.

Mine both had them done through their schools - both indies, so I would have thought state schools would automatically offer them too.
DS had his in Y9, and DD in Y10, having had the HPV one in Y9.
Perhaps the letter didn't make it home?

Nurse went in to the school and did them there.

Pretty sure it was in year 11

I would check with your GP/school then.

DS is in Y9 and the other local college do them in Y9 too. Maybe it depends in which Health Authority you are in

MNSDKHheroines · 01/04/2019 10:37

DS had his at school in year 9.

DD2 has just had hers. State School, Yr 9. We knew about them last November.

If yr 11 and not heard anything then I'd speak to the Dr/ practice nurse.
