What time do your teenagers come home? (GCSE year)

DS2 is 15, will be taking GCSEs this summer.

He has brilliant recall. If I text him to come home, he's home within 15 minutes, usually much less. He never complains.
He's passionate abut riding his bmx and spends a lot of time at the local skate park. However, I don't like him being out after dark. The weather is mild today so he's chosen to stay out, having gone out straight after school, despite me texting him we're eating (food he really likes).

I'm going to tell him to be home by 8pm. I've no idea if I'm being mean or whether every other Y11 is home, studying hard.

My Y11 is out at a party tonight not due back till nearly midnight. But I expect her home much earlier if she's just out and about generally or outdoors -I'd usually go for 8pm and compromise at 9 if she pushes. She can revise tomorrow, but they need a bit of down time

He is out on a bike so either he can stay out till 8pm if he has lights, if he has no lights he has to be home before it is dark.

Thanks, 8pm seems reasonable to me atm.
