to teens for something. was it going to six form, college or what?

it is incentive for them to stay on for the 6th form. is means tested and does require excellent attendance at the named school

It is for college and is dependent on your income etc.

goes directly to the student as well, they nned to have their own bank account - we've had trouble with parents in the past trying to subvert this to have it go straight to them

If both parents work you are unlikely to qualify (think £30k max?) which upset DD as she fancied the money in her pocket!

We earn more than that but not a lot of spare to suplement her income with!
