Tonight she was out far too late with new friends, was not where she was supposed to be. Came home being argumentative and had an inconsistent story
New friends have much more freedom than her and her pal gave her a keyring with a weed leaf on it..."as a joke"

She was summoned home and was very rude to me on the phone. When she got in she smelled of perfume.

The last month or so she Has been having her window open "for fresh air" all the time. I found a packet of cigarettes in her drawer, one left in it. Never smelled fags off her.

I've never smoked weed and am not sure what it smells like pathetic

Sounds like it is to me. I came home from an appointment yesterday to find mine smoking it in the garden ffs. The whole place reeked, front and back, in and out. She thinks because she didn’t smoke it in the house, that would be OK. I despair.

I can't figure out how she'd be able to hide the smell!

I looked at FRANK, but, it wasn't that helpful. She's either smoked or been drinking - but, I'm familiar with alcohol!

Taking a deep breath. She's home and safe, so the drama can wait till the morning.

I think she’s been drinking. You can smell weed on someone if they have recently smoked it and no amount of perfume would hide it.

(Unless you are as naive as my poor mother who believed me after me and my mates were smoking it in my bedroom and I told her it was Marlboro cigs - to be fair this was in the mid 80s and the weed was nowhere near as strong as the kids of today smoke )

Keep your eye for other behaviour like eating loads of munchies, sleeping loads sometimes weed can cause a "whitey" where you end up being sick and falling asleep. The giggles is another sign aswell. The weed keyring red eyes and perfume sounds abit suspicious though x

Weed stinks, you would definitely smell something odd if she had it in her room.

The slurring speech etc doesn't really sound like cannabis, could be some other drug though.

I would think she was probably drinking and smoking tbh. They do go hand in hand. But weed does stink, I remember my sister doing it and it reeked our bedroom out just from her clothes.

How old is she? Weed smells very sweet, very distinctive smell. Sounds more like booze to me.

Well, she was pissed. She's 15, was going to a friend's and they all got on a bus to go across town to her boyfriend's where his mum (allegedly) gave them a bottle of jack daniels.

Denies smoking anything - says she was upset as she was in trouble, but, erm, nope.

Says she had 2 JDs, again, nope.

She's grounded for a month, phone limited and took it all well, actually.

There wasn't any unfamiliar smell about her, but, she wasn't that hungover, which makes me wonder.

Regardless, she's not going out. She can bring her friends here though, time to get to know them, I think...
