DD 17 not going out

Hi, just wondering what other teenage girls are like with socialising? DD has always made friends easily and been happy and popular. She left school in the summer after GCSEs. She always had friends at school but no best friend and went out every so often.
She's at college now a good way from home and is the only girl! She has friends whilst at college but doesnt see them socially - they all live a way away. She still sees 1 friend from school occasionally.
She tells me she is fine, she's happy and she talks to her old friends and her friends that she plays sport with all the time. But shes only been out once all holiday, with some girls from one of her teams.
Is it normal to not really go out? I do tend to fret as i am rubbish with friends Blush
I worry that the longer she's out of school, the less she will see of people.

Maybe she could get a part time job (8-10 hours a week), in a place where other young people work. maybe somewhere nearer to your home? Even if it doesn't result in instant social life – she would at least be getting out a bit more. Or join a gym? But I would say if she's happy and it's not bothering her – then let things happen naturally.
Try not to worry.
