DS19 and DH not getting on

They just can't seem to be in the same room. DH only has to say one thing + DS will escalate to a full blown row - swearing + today they ended up standing nose to nose threatening to punch each others lights out after DS19 thumped DS16 in the balls.

I know DS19 is feeling very upset with life at the moment + told me a few days ago that he feels suicidal at times. I haven't told DH this as I know that DH will bring it up + use it out of context, so daren't tell him. DS told me in confidence. I advised him to talk to the Samaritans if he needs to.

Any other advice please?

Sounds like your DH needs some empathy too if he would bring up something like that even if you tell him not to. Family therapy? I haven’t done it but am considering for our little family where the dynamics are pretty difficult.
