Wee bit of a rant here. So DD has admitted today that in her school toilets there is no toilet paper, locks on the doors or hand soap. As well as that she says sometimes all the student bathrooms can be locked. This is worrying to me. She said they have to find loopholes to it like finding the bathrooms that are open, Bringing tissues to use as toilet paper, bringing hand sanitiser and Putting a bag against the door to hold it closed while a friend stays guard if possible but Aibu to think she shouldn't have to do this.
By the way they've complained to the school several times but the school can't do anything since it's the cleaners who control all this stuff and the cleaners refuse to unlock the doors since it's more work for them

Of course the school can do something they just chose not to. Can you arrange a meeting with the head in the first instance. I’m sure you’re not the only parent to have concerns.

If this is true then an adult needs to complain to the school. Ring them and ask what is going on.

You need a parent to complain to the school, or better still to the governors.

The cleaners control this Hmm

Biggest load of bollocks I’ve ever heard. I would speak to the school directly.

@Believeitornot that's what DD told me. I don't know much I've known for less than 12 hours. She said that she thought that the cleaners were overwhelmed but then one day realised just how little work she saw them doing. One there's plenty of them so it's not like one cleaner is expected to cover a large area. Two nothing is ever cleaned. Apparently the bathrooms don't get cleaned til the end of the day when according to DD who stays behind after school to get some work done 1-3 days a week there is around 30 of them total. And three If Dd is telling the truth the cleaners spend more time sitting around talking/on their phones/ having a break than cleaning. I get they need a break but they're there to work not break all day. I'm fuming I'm gonna call the school and report it first chance I Get. Apparently there will be days when there's no toilet paper in the bathrooms
