Teenager vaping

I’ve found out my DD is vaping, she is 14. It is liquid with no nicotine.
I’ve obviously threatened to not give her the vape back but she says she needs it as she is stressed. She is currently under CAMHS for some emotional issues so this decision seems even harder. I just honestly don’t know what to do. Has anyone else experienced this and have any advice?

Has she got any other ways to ease her stress?

Personally I don’t think it’s a big deal. My DS uses a vape, he says it relaxes him. I’d rather he did that than smoke.

Eh. It's a placebo and it's far less troublesome than most 'stress relief' activities - cigarettes, drinking, sex to pick three popular ones, and leading off into self-harm and anorexia at the far end.

There's no known health disasters from it, and it's wildly unlikely to have any anything like the things above.

Have a chat with her about the way that nicotine doesn't reduce your stress levels, it elevates stress and only reduces it back down to normal for ten minutes after a smoke. That might educate her into not trying nicotine-based fluids.
