Do you have a handy 16-18yo fashionable girl to hand?

Could she help me with a shopping problem?

DD keeps using her brothers' pint glasses (airplanes, Star Wars). We want for upcoming birthday to buy DD own engraved pint glasses. Nothing naff to write on them, maybe just her name, plus maybe some engraved flowers. First problem, which shape is best? Straight sides or hourglass or tankard? What looks best?

DD mostly drinks hot chocolate in the pint glass. Not a fan of beer.

No handy teenager
but i like straight best

RickOShay · 17/09/2018 20:13

You can get hot chocolate glasses with a little handle, they are nice

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/09/2018 20:14

I would be buying a pint sized mug

WinkysTeatowel · 17/09/2018 20:14

I'd be wary of cheap glasses if she's putting hot liquid in.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 17/09/2018 20:20

You can get huge customisable mugs here

Not quite a pint, but they look cool

JiltedJohnsJulie · 17/09/2018 20:23

Teenager is wrong sex and is out. Sorry OP. I’ve got a big hairy DH handy if that helps?

lljkk · 17/09/2018 20:25

It's not very hot chock, she's already using unsuitable glasses so that bird has flown. I think the straight ones look best, too, but is a case for handles. Maybe half pint size so smaller portions would be best DD is looking a bit pudgy but don't tell her I said so

Dd doesn't like any of them and says you need a mug instead

Sorry

lljkk · 17/09/2018 20:36

We have mugs already (sigh). The sausage-face keeps using pint glasses. Not even her own pint glasses (double sigh).

Sausage-face? Confused

lljkk · 17/09/2018 20:38

jokey name for DD

I don't think I'd be rewarding my DD with a personalised pint glass for refusing to use my glassware safely...

sirmione16 · 17/09/2018 20:49

If she has a sense of humour, get her the one most similar to her brothers and engrave "not ds's glass" on it or something Grin

UnderMajorDomoMinor · 17/09/2018 20:53

Tankard with ‘not my brother’s glass’ on it.

Just get thick glass surely?

UnderMajorDomoMinor · 17/09/2018 20:53

Opps xposts. Great minds!

lljkk · 18/09/2018 07:03

2 x Personalised 12-20 oz mugs seeming like a good idea.
Some people must have VERY hot chock!
