High school transition

Just looking for some perspective and experiences please.
My DD is into her 3rd week at high school but still crying and showing nerves every morning and evening. Sometimes culminates in a panic attack. It is getting less, but this Monday morning was particularly severe. Once at school she is fine, tells us she hates it but all reports from school say she is happy, doing well and no issues to note. Has been referred to camhs and counsellor to help with anxiety but referral process is long. Has lots of friends and appears to be able to handle the work.
Any advice/experiences/ tips etc gratefully received.

My one tip would be to keep in touch with the school - preferably an understanding house-head or similar. Keeping them informed of how she is at home, and them keeping you informed about how things are at school is really important. Your DD knowing that you and school are working together will make her feel safer too.
