18 gift idea?

DD1 will be 18 soon. She isn’t having a party. I asked her what she would like to do for her birthday and she said she wanted to go away or spend time with her partner. They cannot really afford to spend money. I am thinking of booking some accommodation for them, but does that kind of sound wrong? Can I have someone’s else’s perspective please. I think I will need to start thinking of her as an adult and not a child. 18 is considered an adult where I live.

It's not wrong at all, it's a lovely idea!

However, I'm assuming he's a long term partner that you like? WinkGrin

DD went to Paris for the weekend with her boyfriend for her 18th. They had a great time.

They have been together for 8 months, and are talking about living together. If they could afford to move out they would be living together I think. He treats her well.

Book a nice, grown up, pampery type hotel. They'll love it

Nearly 3 years. I paid for DD's flight and hotel as her birthday present.
