Hi - just after a bit of advice. Dd (nearly 13) started her periods last Saturday - she's coped really well but she's still bleeding today, over a week after starting. It's not heavy but still bright red. She feels fine and hasn't really had much pain but is getting a bit fed up with it now! My hunch is it's ok and things will settle down but I just wanted to check that I'm not being overly relaxed about it when I should be getting her checked out by the Dr?

It will settle. Periods can be really irregular at first (and long, too). Try not to worry too much.
