Birthday present 15yo boy wants £££

I’m wondering what to give my son for his upcoming 15th birthday. He is clear he would like money. (He would like to buy clothes and sell them at a profit and needs the funds to get stated). I hate the idea of giving him cash, but if I give him a thing, he could always sell it for cash. Any thoughts/similar experiences?

I wouldn't be giving him anything in that case that's so weird!

I think it’s great he wants to use his entrepreneurial spirit but it doesn’t seem very celebratory. Could you ‘invest’ in him in a Dragon Den way and get him a smaller present too?

I actually think that's quite enterprising, although I would probably check that he had a realistic plan in place for doing so.

Thanks bionicnemonic, I Like the dragons den idea...

I think the Dragon's Den idea is brilliant. Could you also get him a couple of books to go with - maybe something inspirational (bio of a successful entrepreneur?) and something practical (how to keep accounts and keep track of costs!) to make it more of a gift?
