Anyone else having issues with there teens and step parents. My dd 15 is constantly at battle with my partner of 10 years. We have very different parenting. His are now older and I'm better off not talking about either. I wanna scream.

Yes my daughter 15 doesn't like my partner of 8 years :( it's causing lots of problems now as she's acting up and he can't take it anymore.

My dds of 13 and 16 find it really hard to live with their step family even though we’ve lived with them for over 5 years. I think they don’t know how to act around each other so they play up.

15 year olds can be difficult even with their own dad. If they got on reasonably well for years they probably will resort to normal when this stage passes. Also teens have an uncanny ability to spot your weakness and use it as a weapon against you to get their own way/ create drama/ get attention. So if they sense that complaining about SD gets everyones attention they will make that the focus. I'm presuming both SD are treating them properly.
Sometimes only a mother could love her teen so a SD without that total unconditional love might find it hard.
