Hi

Well our teen is 18 later this year and no idea what to get her as gift? Thought about a nice spa day for us, though no clue, she is taking driving lessons which we pay for and got the request for a car? Umm.. not huge income by any stretch and also she is planning on uni September 2019!. Don't think a party is wanted though may have a small family meal out. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance xx

I took my DD out a few weeks before and she chose a ring.
She wasn’t allowed it until the day though! I wrapped up 18 pressies, just smellies, fav chocs etc.

They all think they are getting a car, not a hope! Maybe a watch or a piece of jewellery if she’s the sentimental type.

I know I would have preferred a contribution to my car instead of a spa day! Maybe work out the cost of a spa day/day out and then ask if she'd prefer the activity or rather it went towards her car fund?

Mine got the car before her 18th lol. For her 18th we are buying her a piece of jewellery and some concert tickets. She will also go out for dinner with her friends and to a club after. Love the idea with the 18 presents, might adopt this too Smile

definitely get a "thing" rather than an "experience" Doesn't have to be a car but I still wear the ring my parents got for my 18th and although I don't wear the ear rings and pendant I got for my 21st, I plan to have them reset into a ring when I have money (they're diamonds but very small and I have other ones I got when my mum died which I wear all the time).
