I bought my 13 year old girl a jumper dress, which isn't too short black and grey with a black and white line down the sleeve it looks best with bare legs but she doesn't want to show off her legs even though she has great legs however she does suffer with stretch marks EVEN THOUGH SHE IS THIN i think it's her confidence but she said she feels bare without anything on her legs she won't wear shorts without tights i don't know what to do!!!

You let her wear what she is comfy in body confidence comes with time if the kid doesn't want bare legs tights are fine.

Did she choose this dress or did you? Insecurity is part of being a teen, usually better if they choose own clothes.

Don’t do anything other than tell her she looks beautiful no matter what she wears or how she wears it. Don’t go on about it because it’ll just make her more defensive. My 15 year old and her friends all discuss their “fat bits” and none of them are above a size ten.

I’m 20 and have stretch marks on my legs, which then got worse when I had my son. I thought they would never fade but they really have, I wear tan tights, or put foundation on them. I’d never preach covering them up, I do have mine out a lot of the time, but I find myself eyeing up everyone else’s legs to see if they have them to and I see it all the time.
