How old is your son? Why does he have to stop talking at 9.30pm?

sheard · 28/05/2018 21:39

As I'm at work and I cannot get to sleep as he's in room next to us he's 16 but no consideration for others

Small house here too. 14yr old DS. School nights everything is switched off by 9.30/10. Holidays he can say online for longer but I don't want to be hearing shrieks of 'omg what the heck i just diiiied' after 10ish when I still have to be up early for work the next day so we tell him to shut up from about then.

My DS is the same. I ask him to be quiet when I'm ready to go to sleep, which is normally about 11. Weekends and holidays he plays it as late as he wants. I ask him to turn off at 11 on college nights.

I feel mean but I cannot cope with the lack of sleep it's ok for him as he lies in till lunch rest of us have work to go to!!!

Why is he staying in bed until lunch time? Why is he not at school or college?
