Driving Test

How many practical tests did your 17 year old take ? Ds 17 failed for 2nd time today again in horrendous rain and wind although it shouldn't make any difference. He's a good driver 99 % of the time but each test has been one serious and 2 minors.

He's rebooked and trying for a cancellation but I'm afraid it's now becoming a thing and he's convinced he's going to fail again. Whatever I say is wrong at the moment and his mood is terrible taking it out on the rest of us.

When I take him out he does nothing wrong and his instructor says he's test ready.

Any advice ?

My ds passed on his 3rd attempt.
I'm sure he'll succeed next time.

One major and two minors is really close though, just needs a bit of luck to go clear.

He needs to chill out about it (easier said than done I know), lots of practice.

9 tines! Good driver just suffered with nerves

DD1 took 7 goes to pass hers. It did dent her confidence but she was determined to keep going. She was a good driver and she really should have passed on her 3rd go but the examiner misread something that happened when they returned to the test centre (witnessed and challenged by her instructor). She can laugh about it now but it took a while - made all the worse when DD2 passed first go with no errors at all!

Trying to take out as much as we can but more difficult in week due to time home from college and A level work. It is getting lighter in the evenings now. At weekends we do and will go everyday this half term. Thanks

Some people just get stressed and make mistakes when being examined, just keep trying they'll pass eventually.
