Hungry Teen

Anyone else have a teen DD that is always hungry? If so what kind of things do they snack on? I thought that we were through the growth spurt phase but lately she is hungry all the time and gets so grumpy until she eats. This often means something quick and carb laden despite my efforts to try and get her to choose a healthier alternative. She is active and healthy so I have no concerns there just wondering if this was the norm or should I be encouraging alternatives?

TIA

Pretty normal IME.
Mine used to fill up (inbetween meals) with supernoodles, toast, pain-au-chocolates mainly.

Same here. Pasta salad goes down well. Add chopped veg of choice and protein, chopped chicken, canned tuna/ salmon etc to cooked past. Big pot of that in the fridge to pick at.

Thanks all for your responses, some good ideas here. I just want to keep things reasonably healthy as I know she eats pizza, sweets and junk at school and then comes home hungry wanting more. Main meals are all home cooked so I guess on balance it’s not too badHmm
