I created a thread a few days ago about my troubled son. I’ve been lying awake since 4am worrying about him. Someone please tell me stories of your troubled teen turning things around and doing well. Tell me there is light at the end of the tunnel.

It gets better.
My DS is 16 now. We have shed many tears and lain awake in the early hours worrying.
He is still rude, selfish and lazy sometimes, but we are seeing glimpses of the man he will be and it looks promising.
He is working harder at school, putting in the hours at his sport and has been named captain of his sports club.
We trust him and make sure he understands that. We reinforce the idea that he is the one making choices and it was up to him to make the right ones, he’s is responsible for himself. It’s working ok so far but we are aware that not out of the woods yet.
Hang on in there!
