Mobile Phone Usage App

Hello all, Please an anyone recommend a FREE phone app that helps to limit phone usage. I would like one that 1) limits the amount of hours per day 2) where you can set time frame, like 1/2 hour here or there with perhaps an alarm when you've reached that allotted time. 3) Time limits on individual apps like Snapchat and Instgram.

Does all that make sense ? Also, any good websites or books on how to control all this. I know this must make me sound like a control freak or perhaps that I have lost control of my children but I would rather this than social media be the cause of any anxiety issues, particularly with my daughter.

As all the good books say - I am not here to be their best friend but to enable the to deal with the outside world when they have flown the nest :)

Thanks again.

Watching with interest as my usual way of limiting access is to get them to do something else or just take the phone from them 😀

We use “OurPact”. When activated, it removes all downloaded apps on the device but you can still male phone calls and send text messages. You have the option to block all apps immediately or for a set time, and you can have it set to activate at a certain time in the evening and come back on in the morning. It works for us!

Norton Family has been recommended to me.

We use Screentime. Not free but about £2.50 a month I think after a free trial. There's another called Family Time which is similar.
