Just learnt that my teen is known as the “bad influence” by the parents of his mates.

Parenting: Doing it right since 2003.

OP posts:

Unless you are abusing your child then there isn't really a right and wrong when it comes to parenting - just different.

Do you want to say more about it?

Squeegle · 07/11/2017 23:05

You’re not really proud are you? I hate it when my DS is seen as the bad boy which is often

BigSandyBalls2015 · 10/11/2017 10:23

What does he get up to that's seen as a bad influence?

Wolfiefan · 10/11/2017 10:24

Why is he seen as that?
Odd post.

saltandvinegarcrisps1 · 10/11/2017 17:01

I think the OP is using self deprecating humour!

Wolfiefan · 10/11/2017 17:09

Your child being a bad influence is funny? Confused

Runninglateeveryday · 10/11/2017 17:14

Don't worry my DD is too , because their wonderful children only smoke/drink/rebel due to DD 🙄. I think those rose tinted glasses need to come off.

ScoobyDoosTinklyLaugh · 10/11/2017 17:18

Ah when I was a teenager all my mate's parents thought I was the nice, sensible one. They were wrong. Your son's probably just the one taking the flak for everyone.

Intercom · 10/11/2017 18:12

I’m sure the OP is being ruefully sarcastic with the “proud mum” title.

Mustang27 · 10/11/2017 18:29

I have a friend that does this with our toddlers Hmm I think it’s called rose tinted spectacles. Your children are responsible for their behaviour at all times imo.

TitaniasCloset · 10/11/2017 18:56

Yeah this was my son too, he was the only one that would get into trouble because he is fairly honest and would admit what had happened but wouldn’t snitch on his mates.

corythatwas · 12/11/2017 00:18

Depends on what this bad influence is, surely, folks? It could be that it's something fairly innocuous. OP hasn't told us.
