Ideas for 15th birthday party please

Dd is turning 15 in January and is completely stuck for ideas for a party.

She does, however, have a whole host of things she DOESN'T want

So...not a house party (i.e. where they end up just milling around with no structure), not the cinema (too anti-social), she doesn't like sports or things like Go Ape. I've suggested some sort of pamper party but she doesn't want that either!

Any suggestions please? Her interests are drama and theatre in general. I once got her theatre tickets for herself and two friends but she wants to invite more people this time.

I've had great success with the following:

Buy tickets for a movie for a smallish group of friends.
Meet them outside the cinema afterwards, take them to a previously booked cheap restaurant (Pizza Express is usually good) Let them order, immediately pay the bill then leave them to it.

Panic room and then lunch/dinner?

My eldest's 14th was a spy mission thing (a bit like crystal maze) and then dim sum. Went down a treat.

parties my DD has been to in the last year or two that have gone down well include:

1. trampolining
2. karaoke booth
3. nice meal out (dressed up)
4. white water rafting
5. climbing to the top of the O2 centre

6 stand up paddle boarding 7 chocolate making 8 braid bar (this was basically a party at the girl's house but someone from the braid bar came and braided everyone's hair). So I guess a pamper party of sorts

1. winter wonderland (inc ice skating)

10. recording studio

DD is thinking about an escape room for her party (crystal maze type thing). Apologies for London bias in suggestions and that some of them are summer only! Some of them were no doubt pricey, but DD is equally happy at a sleepover with no organised activity other than a film or two.

I think cinema is good if they have pizza or something afterwards so it is not just sitting in the cinema, but needs to the right film. Pitch perfect 3 is being released just before Christmas so may work for an early Jan party.

We did a few murder mysteries.

Forgot to mention I had also suggested an escape room! We did one as a family a while back and it was excellent. However dd says she doesn't want this for her party because (apparently) her friends are all really clever and will solve the clues quicker than her (they're all at a grammar school together BTW so I doubt there's too much difference in intelligence).

Definitely not any sort of skating, she's dyspraxic and finds most sports very difficult.

Arrghhh!

My dd had afternoon tea for her and a few chums in a beach hut owned By a local pub. They loved it. Then sleepover at ours with karaoke machine and crap pitch perfect type films.

I second Murder Mystery. We did a couple called something like death by chocolate. By it on Amazon. Includes invites. Friends get to dress up in character. They are scripted. Have a nice meal plus movktails.

They are not highly intellectual so no worries about looking dumb.

How about a movie night? Get her a few movies, popcorn, chocolate, bottle of pop, order a few pizzas. Chuck a loads of cushions and blankets on the lounge floor and leave them to it.
Is there a local am dram group near you? Could you get some tickets for a local show?

How about a tour of the theatrical costumers Angels? It looks amazing but I haven’t managed to book it yet.

Do you have somewhere nearby that they could have a bit of a camp out?

I hired a coastal tower for ds's 13th, (we live by the sea so not hours away) was great! It was basic but warm enough. It had basic camp beds and electric. Had to cook on a camping stove but it had a fridge and kettle. The teens loved it and didn't want to go home. One of the best parties he's had! Have similar plans for his 18th but for a different more amazing tower.

I hope you managed to sort out Angels but, if not, another idea is Young Driver. DD (14) has done it a few times at Brent X and loved it. I think they do parties too

Update — dd now thinks she’d like an escape room followed by a dessert lounge. But she wants to invite about 18 friends so will need 3 escape rooms and will cost a fortune! I don’t want to suggest a smaller party because she’s had friendship problems for some time so I’m delighted she’s found some proper friends now.
