Am I OK to be pd off that 3 weeks into the term ds secondary school have now decided that skinny school trousers - sold in our 3 local supermarkets - are not allowed. . These shops all have a huge selection up until the end of the first week so I have bought numerous pairs in a few sizes to tide him over the whole year. . Am I right in thinking too bad school you should have said this at the end of July?? With 6 dc I can't afford to bin them and start again!

Nooooo!!! that would annoy me.

My teen DSs hate flappy trousers. I actually think the skinny fit ones look really smart.

How are they defining skinny? Is there a sliding scale?

A new teacher pulled him aside and told him he will be sent home if he wears them tomorrow. . Both ds and dd have just told me there are dc with extreme hair styles and dyed hair still allowed in school which has always been pointed out very clearly to be a no no. Double standards I feel. . Ds has a medical condition meaning he isn't allowed to walk home - wonder what happens if I am at work and can't collect. .
