Guilt

My daughter is nearly 15. Through wanting some stability for her I've been in a relationship for the past 10 years but its been all wrong. I've had enough and just split from him but I feel so guilty that I've just wasted 10 years of my daughter's life when it could have been so different for her. I don't want history to repeat itself. I don't know how to get my head around it. Any advice welcome... please.

Don't feel guilty. We can only do what is right at the time. She'd be worse off if you stayed in a relationship you weren't happy with. Just be as honest as you can and get through the difficult bit with her. Let her know it's ok to miss him and talk about him. Good luck x
