This might have got more traffic in Extra-curricular Activities, but didn't want to read and run.

What is it your dd is actually after? Does she want to make a career in MT or is she looking for a one-off experience? Does she have ideas of making a break-through (type X-factor) or does she understand the kind of long-term training that would go into a MT career?

I am not very knowledgeable about MT (so please correct me if I'm wrong, MNers), but I would have thought the age she is at, unless she is absolutely outstanding, it would be quite difficult to pick up casual work. She seems rather old to count as a child actor and there would be plenty of slightly older teens with very good training out there competing for almost-adult parts. Agents, again, would be more likely to go for someone perhaps slightly older with experience/formal training.

What is she currently doing about training?
