The verbal abuse I get is horrendous. I cannot do right for doing wrong. The names he calls me . I cannot remember the last time we had normal conversation . He smokes weed also . But obviously according to him it's nothing to do with that !

How has he got cash for drugs?

He's 18 so legally an adult tell him it's time he moved out.

He isn't a child anymore. He needs to shape up or ship out. I have 17 and 16 year olds so have DC of a similar age. If they were disrespectful to me on a regular basis then they would not be living in my house. I'd obviously be prepared to exclude the odd occasion where things are said in the heat of the moment (not that that has happened) but not a regular attitude.

The weed is undoubtably the issue, but you can't tell them anything when they know they are clearly in the right.

I would be telling him to leave.
