Phone insurance for teens?

Do you have insurance on your teens phones? If so, how much do you pay? Thought i had got a good deal on an iphone for my 15 year old, until insurance was quoted! Should i risk not getting any? I really don't know what to do!!

Check if you have a household mobile phone insurance cover with your current account already.? I have one with Nationwide.

We had a 'gadget cover' option on our house insurance and it was worth every penny. Cost about £30 extra on our policy for the whole year. Our 15YO DD dropped her very precious iPhone in the loo recently and I wasn't sure it would be covered but turns out it was and they couldn't repair it so sent her a replacement. She was over the moon and so was I as I pay for the contract! Definitely have insurance of some sorts, it pays for itself when things go wrong
