Birthday meal 15 year olds

I have said my daughter can invite 5 Friends for a lunch on her birthday then go shopping afterwards. They are all lovely girls, but a bit worried about not being there to guide them. Are restaurants ok with this sort of thing ( thinking frankie and Bennie type chain)

15? Not 5...they'll be fine

Have you had experience of this? Did you leave a set mount of money for them to pay or hang around somewhere? Don't want them to not have enough to pay bill or anything awkward. Also don't want to be too emabarrassing!

No but I've been 15! I'd be mortified if my mum was there. I would either arrange with the waiter that I would pop in at the end to pay (if in the evening and I was collecting them aftwerwards) or give dd the money in her bank account to pay on card; that way I would put way too much in but expect a receipt and would take back the extra money later

I would steer them to a fixed price place, so I knew what the cost was going to be - an 'all you can eat' Chinese Buffet or something, and I'd tell dd that I was paying for the meal, or the meal ond one drink (or whatever) and they could take money themselves if they wanted extras).

My DD is 15 and she goes for lunch with her friends almost every weekend. Just make sure she has her bank card and if she needs any extra you can transfer the funds to her online.

Thanks all. Strangely, this isn't something common in my daughters year group yet. She is one of the eldest in her year, the only time she has been at restaurants with friends the adults have been on a nearby table. Hence I've no one to ask what the norm is these days. I know we've all been 15 but times are different.

Put money in her account to pay for it on her card then she can transfer the difference back via pingit.
