My child is 9yo . He is kind of rigid in nature. Last day, he told me that he need to wear a blue colored lens. His vision is clear and hence I couldn't agree to buy him one. But he was very adamant in his wish and he refused to have food for 1 day for making me agree to that. Somehow, he changed my mind (Still I don't wish to make this happen.but I don't want my child to starve for this reason)
So I am planning to get him one from The Eye Clinic,Edmonton
( theeye.clinic/lenses/ ). I have no idea whether to buy this with or without a doctor's prescription.please help!

Oh please. Don't be silly! He can't have them. Let him stop eating. He will start again soon enough.

Urm he's 9 tell him no ! It's a ridiculous request, tell him his eyes are beautiful as they are then leave it. If he learns he can emotionally blackmail you aged 9 imagine how he'll be when he's a teenager (this is the teenager board) . He won't die if he misses a meal

Everything everyone already said plus - no reputable optician is going to give a child contact lenses purely to change their eye colour! Have you talked to him about why this is so important to him? Has someone told him there's something wrong with his real eye colour?

Just realised you've posted in teenagers, do you mean your son is 19 not 9?
