Sanitary towels for teens

My almost 13 year old DD is showing signs of starting her periods soon. I was wondering what brand and type of sanitary products are best for first time users, I don't use them so pretty clueless Confused

Dd found the lillets teen towels were a bit small so uses a mix of bodyform and own brand sanitary towels. She likes kotex ones too

I'd get her a selection and see what she prefers

My 12 yo uses the liletts teen range. They do a little purse thing with a few bits in there... Nighttime towels, daytime ones, tampons, and maybe a few wipes too? You could get one as a starter pack and try them out.

She's finding them great as far as I know!

I love the always scented ones. They're nice and thin and have never leaked.

RuralLibran · 03/10/2016 22:12

My 11 yr old is using the lilets teen range, so far so good.

We got the lillets starter pack but dd found the towels a bit short for her so prefers larger ones. She uses the zippy bag for school

And I'd avoid scented ones, no need for scented towels at all especially for children

My daughter likes always, my preferred choice too but when she started I got a selection of trials (go to the various brands own sites).

Always

BrollySmolly · 04/10/2016 12:28

My 12 y old uses bodyform without wings.

Chimchar · 06/10/2016 20:45

Have just a chat with my dd. She is finding the liletts teen pads a bit short too now too. it seems that maybe they're great for physically small girls (or younger girls).

Thought I'd update as it was relevant. Smile

I tend to just buy DD the Always ones, with wings. Infact a lot of the time she prefers the longer ones, as not always very light. She was 10y when it started and we did initially have the teen range but they weren't really adequate enough after that first one.
