Tutor Group

My DD year 9 has disliked her tutor since year 7.
Her main problem is that she is a martinet (every rule all the time super strict) and unfortunately she has the emotional perceptiveness of a whelk (or molusk of your choice) she has the best behaved tutor group in the school with the highest number of detentions.
She wants her whole tutor moved before the pastoral care requirment of GCSEs really kick in, she is quite civic minded and does not want to abandon her friends.
Is there any chance of this. And how as a parent should I support it?

I think I understand - your DD's tutor teacher is too strict so your DD would like to have a different tutor teacher, but she doesn't think it would be fair on the rest of the class if she was moved but the rest of the class were still stuck with the unfair tutor so you're asking for advice on how to get the whole class a different teacher.

Yup getting the whole class a different teacher would be the best outcome short of a personality transplant for the existing teacher.
DD and her friends/tutor-mates have been talking to the head of year but he has not been taking them seriously.
When we had a meeting with him (parents of 2 of the children) it was clear he did not have the authority to make any changes and had been sent to silence 2 sets of parents.
We have been promised another meeting with the decision maker this time.
I suppose we will have to play it by ear.
