How to control social media

Is there anyway to control social media on your teenagers accounts?
My DD is 16 and has low self esteem and talks about being depressed and sad - I try and talk to her but she wont listen. She talks to a counselor at college but says it doesn't help, I don't know what to do with her?

Does she have some hobbies that you can engage her in? Something to take her mind off what is happening and perhaps help her to relax and open up to you and get away from social media for a while.

Do you think it is social media that is causing the problems?
