Mine would be livid, I'm sure, so what's the etiquette about posting, apart from not giving away too much personal info, and not leaving your user name in full view?

My DC are too young but I try not to post anything I'd be embarrassed for the person concerned to read.

And I'm careful about personal info.

And I name change to limit how much history you could find on advanced search.

It might make them realise that being a parent can be tough too! And then they might be more willing to have a rational discussion about family harmony...

Sorry to be morbid but my mum died when I was a young teenager and friends of hers have since shown me emails (lots of which were moaning about us) she wrote to them. They are genuinely hilarious and it makes me feel much closer to her and understand her more as an adult. So short story, even if they see it they'll get over it and maybe even enjoy it

No, I wouldn't post anything I would mind if they saw or knew about. They both know my NN on here and could have a look if they so wished.

I've got a current thread in AIBU about my DD which I purposely showed her & it was very useful for her & me to see "outsiders" opinions. I may of course name change for future threads depending on the topic.
