Hello, very new here. A bit lost and stumbled across the site.
I have a (just) 14 year old daughter. She ran away with a friend on Wednesday and was picked up within a couple of hours by the police. She has already started receiving counselling from the school but is refusing to talk to me.
The other girls mum saw messages from faith about suicide.

We are all meeting up together at the weekend to talk about it and I have said that my daughter needs to listen to me tonight even if she doesn't want to talk.
Have permanently restricted mobile phone time etc but I just dont know what to do - I can't make her talk to me.

We have a lovely home, nice things, she goes on great holidays and has loads of one to one time. She is diabetic (since birth) and her Dad did move away at the start of last year - so I guess she has some things to be pissed off about. Who knows.....anyone been through other things or have advice?

Sorry I don't have any useful advice but hope things have improved and your talk goes well.

Oh I hope the councilling works for your dd OP.

It is hard I know. My dd went through quite a traumatic time with her friend and got heavily affected and we had to shut her communication down. The girl now has help which is very relieving for her and her parents.

Have you checked into her computer history browsers email there might be something going on in the back ground? Is she struggling with school?
Thinking of you. Hope the situation improves ASAP xx

Sending my best wishes - it's hard to know where to start if they won't say anything....
