Hello,
I recently found out that my son who is 18, recently moved to uni has been smoking weed.
This came about when I found a pack of papers that you would roll a spliff with in his jeans pockets then i brought the topic up and asked him, he admitted to it and said him and his best mate had tried it a few times.
I think that he has been chronically smoking it and I am worried that he is going to mess up his degree and life.
I have noticed some worrying signs; he has a short fuse when I am messaging him, he has lost a lot of weight over the past five months, he is going out all the time and drinking, behind disrespectful of myself and my husband.
I have a family member who suffers from mental health issues and smoked it when he was younger and sadly he took his life a few years ago, I really don't want this to happen to my son.
I discussed this with my husband and we both want him to take a blood test to see if he has been smoking it.
He told me that after our conversation and I told him about the family member and he was upset and gave me his word that he wouldn't smoke it but I don't believe him at all.
I noticed some signs that he was stoned; his eyes were heavy, speaking slow and messing around with our dog and being angry. ( he says he was hung over after a night out but...)
What do you think guys I am really worried about him
