18th birthday ideas for January!

I haven't a clue what to do for them, they seem to be expecting some thing nice! Ok, one may not be here, he is at the Army college in Harrogate, might be able to get home for the w/end, birthday is Jan 27th. His brother is the quiet one, never goes out with friends etc, has no idea what he would like to do except he said maybe a w/end away. Their sister has no intention of doing anything that involves her two brothers!! Havent a clue, any ideas much appreciated!

We didn't do much for DS1's 18th, he was happy with a family meal out.
How about a weekend away in Harrogate as a family? Then whatever DD wants to do with her friends?

A family meal out in your local town then they could go on from there separately. Book your d a night with a friend in a hotel with a spa , organise for army s to meet up with friends for clubbing and if other s has a friend he likes to hang out with perhaps treat them to beers with some film or new gaming stuff at home.

Hi all thanks for the suggestions, its looks unlikely that my son in the Army is going to have any time off to coincide with the other two until Easter! DD is adamant she doesn`t want a meal with us, so it looks like she will go to a Chinese with her mates and we will have to take James out on his own! He is such a loner, his best friend has not got a girl friend so he hardly sees him!

Aww least you will have 1 of your babies with on their birthday id probably organise a weekend when army son is off work at easter and id probably tell dd she was coming i know you cant force them at that age but I think some family time is important

We've got the same next year but with twins. I'm planning on a trip away. Ours is later in the year and we are looking at Iceland. It's not too far, flights are cheap and it's somewhere we've never thought of before.
I love to do holidays as they build lovely memories.

My DD turns 18 in a weeks time. Her friends won't be around so i have taken the day off work to do something with her. I am sure your DC won't like what i have planned but i am taking her to have her hair done, her make up done then her nails done. After that we are going to have cocktails and lunch at her favourite restaurant. Her 2 best friends are skipping school to join us for lunch. She has no idea that any of this has been planned! I am very much looking forward to it and i hope she enjoys it.
