My ds's room smells exactly like mice too. Masked by Lynx.

fizzbuzz · 11/12/2006 16:20

My ds wouldn't know what Lynx is, apart from the one unused can gathering dust which I bought him as a very unsubtle hint, ie telling him he stank!

kt36, my ds is very into the girls and i wish he wasnt in a way because even though hes a "cool dude" he wears his heart on his sleeve and really needs to give the girls a break!

the latest one ended after 7months, she dumped him twice! ive told him if he goes back out with her he will look like a doormat. luckily he says "i hate her now, im not going back out with her" . now hes after a year 8 girl who he says he loves!

im trying to remember what i was like at that age and i must admit i fancied a different boy every week.

have to say that i agree with fizzbuzz and wish i hadmy little boy back

RTKangaSANTAMummy · 11/12/2006 16:45

Thanks for the tips

kt36 · 11/12/2006 18:58

i must admit i liked to be around boys at his age but it different when it your ds like it now as things have changed so much and kids seem to know alot more than they should do it scares me as i cant keep an eye on him 24/7 he has informed me that he has already had his first frenchkiss

fizzbuzz · 11/12/2006 19:34

OMG NO!!. Cannot bear to think about that!
NO NO NO!(runs away screaming with head in hands)

kt36 · 11/12/2006 20:05

Sorry, don't know what to say but to offer loads of sympathy.

At least you can take some consolation from the fact that he is behaving like a normal teenager, and at least he told you! After all the first kiss is a pretty important and scary milestone. Yeah, try and think about it in developmental terms, like first word, steps etc [grin[

Either that or ban him from ever going anywhere
and make wax idols of any girl who comes near him.

I will be following the second course of action. Ds will not even be allowed to go to school from now on
I feel I have no choice but to take second option

themoon66 · 11/12/2006 22:42

I just know i will be horrible to any girls DS dares to bring home... there is not a girl alive good enough for my DS [grim-teeth-clenched-arms-folded-emoticon]

fizzbuzz · 12/12/2006 08:39

Yes Moony know the feeling. However when I told someone that DS was never ever going to be allowed to have a girlfriend & I would kill any girl who came near him, they asked me if I would rather ds had boyfriends instead!

Seems we are caught between the devil and the deep blue sea.

However am rather concerned that I have potential to be terrible mil, as no female is ever going to be right for ds except ME!

kt36 · 12/12/2006 09:58

OP posts:
themoon66 · 12/12/2006 10:17

'Wot-ever' I hate that word!! Teenagers think it's the answer to every comment an adult makes.

fizzbuzz · 12/12/2006 10:33

Take a chill pill-makes me want to murder someone. Also, whilst this is not words, rolling of eyes drives me mad.

fizzbuzz · 12/12/2006 10:42

Also as a secondary school teacher, I have to put up with this EVERY day! Things like "chill out" "whatever" "if you say so" "as if" etc etc. Also have to put up with shoulder shrugging, peering out from under hair, and with girls, hair tossing.

In fact nickname at school for "stroppy" girls is "hairtosser"

Have also had to put up with mobile phones in lesson, which I have been unable to detect and remove with the ringtone "Am I bovvered"......... Very nearly committed murder at that point.....could go on for ever about teenagers...

random · 12/12/2006 11:12

Chill mum is my ds favourite saying..regarding mobile phones at school all my sons friend have that noise as ringtones that cant be heard by people over a certain age..feel so sorry for the teachers that have to teach a class of 14 year olds..having said that he is defiantly more human at 14 then he was at 13

winterpimms · 12/12/2006 11:32

"Oh jog on" Listen out for it, coming to a secondary school near you!

fizzbuzz · 12/12/2006 11:49

Do they indeed Random.....must bring this up at next staff meeting!

kt36 · 12/12/2006 17:00

TBH they are great. Really entertaining and amusing, they often have me in fits of laughter, and sometimes have to abandon all attempts to keep a straight face when they have done something naughty but amusing.

Also most of them are really polite, and concerned about environment and other people. I slag them off, but most of them are stars, and I get really annoyed about people going on about the youth of today. They are fab really.
