She has just presented me with her 'birthday list' (didn't know she was compiling one!). It's all clothes and shoes, and the total is £300 all but £2. I am just a bit Shock at this, although 16 is one of the special birthdays I think?

Is this how much parents are spending on their darling dearly beloved daughters for their 16th birthday? Wouldn't be so bad if she was one, but she's a lazy, self obsessed, greedy, selfish, little twat

DD will be 16 in 4 weeks but thanks to GCSEs hasn't really said anthing much.

So far I bought 2 books. Otherwise she has mumbled recently:
airpods
jewellery
nose piercing, delayed to August though

She will get a private tour of Hever Castle. She is an absolute history geek and loves Anne Boleyn.

From her grandparents she will get books and spending money for shopping when we are in New York in August

Some of her friends did larger, proper parties but she didn't want one. So she will take 3 friends for a birds of prey experience instead.

I reckon around £500-600. Dd wanted to skydive, which isn’t cheap. Some bits of jewellery etc to open on the day, and then a party at home for a smallish group of friends.

@BackforGood 😂 thanks for pointing this out, hadn’t noticed.
Obviously the world was a different place in 2015!
