D age 13 has had an assessment for ADHD but Psychiatrist has concluded Conduct Disorder or ODD. I am new to the site but would like to talk to parents of teenagers in a similar situation on how best to manage /parent/ keep young person in mainstream school and somehow still learning new skills - daily life is currently and always has been tough because of constant defiance and manipulation and now violence - what would really help is hearing of some support or even a young person who comes out the other end e.g. does okay

Adhd and odd very often are comorbid. Has adhd definitely been ruled out?

Thank you both for responding - I will wait to receive the report there are aspects of ADHD - what is the SN board - I just really need to talk with someone about how to love and support and parent when all efforts are constantly rejected

The special needs boards are on here - look in topics.

I have DS (7) with ADHD ODD and mild ASD. His biggest issues are the ADHD and ODD. It's hard going. I know he's not a teenager (certainly feels like he is most the time) but if you ha e any specific questions feel free to give me a shout!
