I have name changed to avoid being recognised.
Dd has told a friend she no longer wishes to hang out with her - the friend doesn't like DD's best friend and was asking dd to choose.
So dd choose her best friend, but the other friend didn't like this very much, she cried and huffed and then she reported dd to the head of year at school. Who has suggests the girls avoid each other but the ex friend keeps sitting beside dd at lunch, following her home constantly asking her to be her friend, texting her etc. Dd still doesn't want to tell the HoY that her ex friend started this by wanting dd to drop her friend.
This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and the ex friend continues to harass dd about being her friend, dd has now been reported to the hoy for mentioning being reported and the hoy has made her apologise.
I know this all sound very petty but I'm not sure whether to get involved- speak to the hoy....Dd is very sensitive, is never in trouble, I'm amazed she just hasn't given in to being friends with this girl again.
We've never had any friendship issues before, I hate to think the hoy is getting the wrong impression of dd and dd is getting upset about being followed around. The hoy asked the girls today to avoid each other and 2 hours later dd recieved another text begging her to be her friend again.
What would you do?
