Stylish but properly waterproof jacket for a 13 yr old (girl)

Any recommendations? Dd currently has a hand-me-down ski jacket which needs replacing. Needs to be properly waterproof and warm (cold up in the mountains and nights camping even in summer!), but it'd be nice to find her something a little bit stylish as well. I've got a Skogstad jacket which I love, and they make some nice girls' jackets, but wondered if anyone else had good suggestions? I guess I'm happy to pay a reasonable price, I think she's probably stopped growing for the moment and will definitely get lots of wear out of it.

North face?

I was about to say Superdry or Barbour

How about a North Face artic parka for girls? I personally recommend the one for women. It's waterproof, very warm and hopefully also looks ok!! www.trekkinn.com/outdoor-mountain/the-north-face-artic-parka-tnf-black-girls/130313/p?utm_source=google_products&utm_medium=merchant&id_producte=519070&country=uk&gclid=CjwKEAjwjd2pBRDB4o_ymcieoAQSJABm4egoGNNs6SZqnp5vhzKdFvwA-ULBfklBH--M2Q92IbqEeRoCNkjw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Less than £100 on that link!

don't buy anything marketed at women unless it is a bra. It will be flimsier, can be pricier (look at the identical girls and boys jackets on that site and the massive price difference) and even if not in silly colours will have fewer useful features.

That North Face one (sorry MN person) is marketed as 'for streets' so will probably be stuff all use up a mountain when you get sweaty.

go for a gore-tex or similar outer shell with suitable underlayers; fleece and thermals. Versatile and lasts for ages if properly treated. Those Norwegian ones look good, but again, buy the one 'for boys'.

If you can afford one - and find one - I'd go for a ski jacket. The women's will be fitted and look much better than a straightforward anorak. Also, it looks like you go skiing too. hehehe
