social computer time

My 13 dd was recently punished for something by losing phone and computer for a week. She was a different person during this time - much happier and sociable! It has made my dh and I look at limiting her (and her younger sisters) time on the computer. Obviously I understand she needs to do homework on it which will make it tricky to police but I was wondering if others do this and for how long is reasonable. I have started with an hour on a school day and 2 on a weekend/holiday but am open to being told this is unreasonable! My daughter has accused me of banning her from having a social life as previously some nights she would be facetiming or skyping friends most of the evening!
