Yeah, they have gone for 5 days

My DC left to go off with their father for 5 days this morning.

They argued with me about getting ready, DS kept going back to bed, it is my fault he could not find his revision notes, DD got cross because I was talking to DS. They fought as they got in the car and were grumpy with their father. Then both put their headsets on. Exh and I just laughed.

DH is away with DSS for another week.

I can not remember when I had the house to myself for so long with none of them here. It must be nearly two years, as DS had stopped going away with his father.

Now 5 days of just me, wine and Easter eggs.

I am pissed off because mine were all meant to be away with their father but it was decided that DS1 would stay behind "to study for his GCSEs". Now, I love him dearly and I know he needs to study but I feel I am being punished somehow. Instead of peace, quiet and no cooking I have a starving bottomless pit of a teenage boy to shout at and nag.

soupdreggon Usually my DS does stay behind and I have the constant demand for food and requests for friends to come round too. I half expected him to stay this time.
