When to worry?!

Since DD14 hit puberty life has been a rollercoaster .Loads of highs and lows and girl drama floating between being flavour of the month with friends to public enemy number one. DD has ADHD very much lacking motivation academically now she has lost interest in her hobbies.
I am worried about the amount of time in her room. She is in there 24/7 when I coax her out she is far from chatty so i think she feels i'm a spanish inquisition as if I don't ask questions we don't talk. She is just glued to her phone the entire time needs huge amounts of pestering to do anything (pack pe kit, brush teeth etc). I think her friendships are a bit fragile again and this impacts her .I just wish she'd enjoy something other than social media.
I am in the habit of over worrying due to previous issues is this fairly common?!

this seems to be the norm too often these days. I have two of them and the story is much the same with both. one addicted to social media, the other to YouTube. they are 16 and 15.

I lost my rag tonight with dd2. I asked her to take her freshly ironed clothes upstairs and hang them in the wardrobe. when I went in her room later, the whole lot had been thrown on the floor and she'd clearly been walking on them. she stood there with her arms folded saying the typical teenage lines like 'you're not normal, and 'I don't care', and 'why do you get so stressed about such trivial things'. how can she put some clothes away, when she's talking to so and so on Facebook she says. I fucking hate facebook.

of course I'm the only parent who restricts and monitors her online activities according to her.

anyway, glad I'm not on my own tonight. big hugs to you.

more wine needed.
